Photinia Carre Rouge is an evergreen 'ready' hedge that has glorious red new growth which is as good as a Pieris (Forest Flame) and is as good if not better than its better known cousin Photinia Red Robin.  The new growth hardly fades to green but if it does fade, the plant can be trimmed and it will make the hedge thicken up and also send out another flush of red growth.  This Photinia Carre Rouge is not as fast a growing hedge as Photinia Red Robin but needs regular trimming to help it maintain its density and shape and leaf colour.  If it is allowed to be a more natural style untrimmed hedge it will produce some creamy white flowers that make it a focal privacy screening solution in your garden.  .

Photinia Carre Rouge Instant Hedge has a medium sized leaf and it will make an excellent screening plant but also a good sound proofing plant as it catches the sound within its leaves and traps it.  It is also good at removing dust and other particles in the air.

Photinia Carre Rouge is lime tolerant so will grow nearly anywhere in the United Kingdom and prefers a good moist well drained soil.
